Brand name PrEP or Generic PrEP?
TENO-EM is a generic PrEP registered by NeoPharm in 2019, which is available in Neo-Health HK, while TRUVADA and DESCOVY are brand name PrEP. The component of TRUVADA and TENO-EM are the same, and DESCOVY consist of slightly different component when comparing to TRUVADA and TENO-EM. Guidelines to get PrEP
1.PrEP is a prescription drug in Hong Kong, which can be only prescribed by medical doctors.
2. Talk to your healthcare provider and get tested on HIV, Hepatitis B status, Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD), liver and renal function before taking PrEP.
3. Get a prescription letter and PrEP medication from medical doctor.
